My mission to give away a million downloads by 2012

I am on a mission to give away a million copies my new book and audio programme that will help people discover the work they were born to do. Since my book came out in 1999, I have continued to be shocked by how few people feel like they ever got good guidance and advice about how they could find the work they’d love to do. I know that too few people believe that they can work for love and money and too few believe that work can be a fulfilling experience.

I want to live in a world where more and more people are doing what they love, and my new programme is a contribution to that happening. I think it is such a waste of talent and potential when people don’t find their idea work and I want to live in a world where more and more people are doing what they love and are good at. I hope this programme will help thousands more people be happier in their work.

Courage and Potential - 16-18 November

One of my personal passions is potential - liberating what is within each of us for our own joy and in order to contribute to the greater good. It is the journey back to the heart of ourselves. Like all of us, I got wounded when I was younger and developed lots of reasons to close my heart and hide out. I didn't have much confidence or self worth.

Thirteen years ago I went to a talk by Chuck Spezanno in London, and within 15 minutes had taken pages of notes and felt like I was witnessing someone with an incredible understanding of the human heart and mind. Chuck, along with his wife Lency, live in Hawaii and are the founders of Psychology of Vision http://www.psychologyofvision.com. Since that evening in 1994, I have regularly attended Psychology of Vision workshops, mainly in the UK. In the UK, the lead trainers are Jeff Allen and Julie Wookey, who have both become friends. When I hit the deck, Jeff is often the guy I turn to for help and he has helped me through some very difficult periods in my life.

Julie is about to take a years sabatical  so she and Jeff are doing their last London workshop together for a while. I am going to be there as a participant, and if you feel the call to courage to get past some of the big patterns that are holding you back in your life, I think you would find the workshop exciting.

How to transition from being an employee to an entrepreneur

The eight stages of progression from being an employee, discovering the work you were born to do, and then becoming an inspired entrepreneur

I find so many people dream of moving from being an employee to an inspired entrepreneur running their own business, but often don't make that transition successfully because they don't recognise the stages involved or try to skip them. Here are the eight stages I see as being involved

Stage 1. A new vision for work – getting inspired about the whole idea of work – go to work to contribute and to spread love and joy. The characteristics of the work you were born to do

Stage 2. Discover the work you were born to do – this helps you be clear what your heart lies and what will inspire you

Stage 3. Inspire yourself to the possibility of being an entrepreneur and being your own boss. Self employment becomes the vehicle for you to live the work you were born to do, understanding the differences between ordinary entrepreneurs and business people, and inspired entrepreneurs 

Stage 4. Starter inspired entrepreneur – turn your idea into something deliverable product or service to potential clients - cross that threshold and doing it for the first time – ask for money and create your first paying client for the work you were born to do – overcome your resistance to self promotion – demonstrate to yourself it is possible

Stage 5. Apprentice inspired entrepreneur – consistently find clients and create your first £5,000 of income – doing what you’ve done once or twice on a consistent basis - don’t leave your job until you’ve got something new started - turn this idea into a fledgling business whilst still employed – starting to create real cash flow from your idea will build your confidence. By demonstrating it is possible, you help quieten the critical voices in your head and around you. You become an apprentice – learning your craft – design a business that gives you freedom not enslaves you

Stage 6. Turn professional – scale your fledgling business so that it can create the income you need and you can transition from employment to complete self employment

Stage 7.Maturity - then grow your business into as successful operation as you want to. Keeping your own freshness and spark alive, letting you and your entrepreneurial spirit evolve. Creating a successful business model for you. Working on your business and not just in your business. Building systems to support you and your business so that you never feel like a slave to your business.

Stage 8. Eldership – become an inspiration to others and then help mentor them through the process of starting and growing their businesses. You can mentor at all stages too – wherever you are even one step ahead, you can help others

Launching the Inspirational Learning Company

On July 12th 2007, along with my friend and business partner, Niki Hignett, I launched the Inspirational Learning Company: www.inspirational-learning.com. Overcoming your resistance to success, doing what you love and money - May 20th Surrey

I think there is a big myth that successful people obviously don't have resistance, they just turn up and are successful. My personal experience and having worked with thousands of people is that for most of us, our success is just on the other side of our resistance. In order to get to success we have to go through our own self doubt, lack of confidence, fear and even occasional terror, and we may well to grow ourselves, our skills and abilities. But the good news is that the bigger the resistance you have, usually the bigger the reward, the success or confidence on the other side of it. I still face resistance most days. It is never a battle we win, but one we can win every day.

I have learned alot about resistance - my own and other people's so have designed this day to help you:

1. Understand how resistance works so you can see it more clearly as it is often unconscious

2. Understand how to set your heart and mind on what is on the other side of your resistance - the satisfaction and rewards

3. How to keep yourself motivated when resistance kicks in

4. How to get more comfortable with success in your life

5. How to "play bigger" in your life and be all that you are capable of at each point in your life

6. How to share your gifts and talents with the people who can benefit from them

I know that a large element in creating the success I have is because I have learned to recognise, understand and overcome my own resistance - I'd love to show how you can do that for yourself.

Moving from being an employee to an entrepreneur - one day live seminar in London, March 25th

LIke many people, I grew up with people who went to work every day and hardly knew anyone who ran their own business. In my family of origin, anything but the conventional career path of getting a good job and sticking with it seemed risky, scary and unconventional. A proper job was working for someone else, doing something I may not have enjoyed for 48 weeks a year. As I moved from the corporate environment where I worked and starting my own business it was one of the courageous and exciting things I ever did, and has led to incredible rewards and fulfilment.

Looking back I see that moving from being an employee to being an entrepreneur has a number of elements to it:

1. Unlearning and undoing many of the conventional ideas, beliefs and attitudes we've grown up - including our ideas about what a proper job is

2. Learning the langauge, mindset and world view of being an entrepreneur rather than an employee

3. The emotional journey of facing fear, recognising resiatnce and overcoming the ways you may even sabtoage ourselves or procrastinate too much

4. Learning how to turn ideas into income and to create new streams of income

5. The practicalities - what we need to do to attract clients and serve them well so that our idea becomes an exciting living bussness

6. Keeping it meaningful to you - how do you keep the passion, creativity and inspiration alive and not become a slave to your own business

I created this day to help you if you'd like some help with all the above. Since my own transition, I have helped hundreds of people plan and make their transition into their own business, and then succeed in it. I'd love to help you too.

I offer 30 minute and sixty minute sessions, and I also now offer another option. You can buy 60 minutes of time and call it off as and when you need it.

How telephone coaching works:

1. Book on your time online

2. I will send you a short questionnaire to enable me understand what help you need.

3. We arrange a time to talk.

4. I read through what you send me and prepare for our conversation

5. We have our call(s) and I record each one as an MP 3 and then either send you a link to the MP3 or burn it onto a CD which I post to you

So although we may have a sixty minute conversation, I will actually spend 90 minutes including preparation and the recording.
